More Ideas About How To Develop Skills Fast When Having High Will But Low Skills

In the last posts I have introduced Stephen Covey’s skill-will matrix that has been extremely helpful both for individual change and leadership development programs.

Today I will continue with ideas for handling the inspirational situation when one has Low skill + High will.

In this situation there is sufficient motivation.

Having the possibilities to observe others with skills and learn through coaching from someone with more experience within the field, i.e. problem-solving through guided questions, are beneficial activities.

Hence teaming up with someone who already has the necessary skills to be developed is one of the quickest ways of acquiring the skills. This way of learning a profession has been successful since olden ages.

Having a mentor to discuss unforeseen incidents with and also discuss unexpected intangible aspects of a task and situations that can show up can be very helpful also for more abstract tasks.
