Make Technology Less Stressful By Having Routines

In my daily work with people who have sought help for problems with stress and fatigue, I have been able to distinguish 3 building blocks in stress management:

3) Use stress management habits

Today’s post continues with the stress source technology.

Technology often offers very useful tools that saves time, helps us stay in touch as well as brings entertainment, knowledge and inspiration.

But at the same time, it is very easy to get stressed and to use too much time on it since we often are not aware of the consequences technology can have on our health.

Therefore, it can be helpful to turn off notifications for mobiles, tablets and computers and only use technology in a predetermined manner.

I usually suggest only checking SMSs and emails 3 times a day.

The reason for this is that the interruptions that occur become stressful and we lose a huge amount of time finding our way back to where we were before the unexpected interruption.
