How To Handle Technology To Reduce Stress

In my daily work with people who have sought help for problems with stress and fatigue, I have been able to distinguish 3 building blocks in stress management:

1) Regulate your stress level, se techniques in earlier post
2) Handle stress sources
3) Use stress management habits

Today’s post is about the stress source technology.

Technology is often very a useful tool that saves time, helps us keep in touch as well as brings entertainment, knowledge and inspiration.

But at the same time, it is very easy for tecchnology to create stress and take too much time away from other things because they are often available and we are not aware of the consequences technology can have on our health.

Therefore, it is important to turn off notifications for mobile phones, tablets and computers and only use technology in a predetermined manner.

I usually suggest checking SMS and e-mails a maximum of 3 times a day.

This is due to the fact that the interruptions that occur become stressful and make us lose a huge amount of time until we are back where we were before the unexpected interruption.
